Dwarf Red Stem Parrot Feather has a nice tight growing habit compared to its larger cousin Parrot Feather that is more of a rambler. Brilliant red stems hold feathery leaves forming a thick groundcover 4-6" tall. Leafy below water level (plant up to 12" deep) there is plenty of hiding spaces for young fish and the many living insects that benefit the ecosystem. This plant is restricted by law in ME, PR. Should be confined to lined garden ponds and never released into natural bodies of water. Flowers are insignificant. Zone 5.
