Mosaic Plants | Ludwigia sedioides | Morning Flower | Potted

Mosaic Plants are likely the most curiously interesting plants in the water garden. Always sensational! They are best planted in shallow water 2-14" deep and prefer rooting in soil rather than free floating. They need very warm water and full sun! Do not plant before your daily temperatures are in the 80's and water is nearing 70 or better. They will not tolerate any cool nights. The rosettes multiply rapidly once established. Large koi can and will eat this plant. They also often have small yellow buttercup flowers for a few hours a day but disappear by late afternoon. Spreads to form a nice clump if fed heavily. 6-12" planting container. Zone 11.
