Japanese Variegated Iris (ensata) is an elegant and delicate Japanese Iris that can grow up to 24-36” tall with beautiful large lavender-pink blooms and sword shaped leaves. Can be planted in ponds in 8-12” wide pots and prefer to have the crown above water level, especially in winter, really only wanting to be consistently moist. Grows best if divided every 3-4 years. Plants need at least 6 hours of sunlight each day to bloom, morning sun is ideal. Good clumping habit with columnar habit. Zone 5.
